Disorganized is a visual, psychosomatic based exploration of a journey to reconcile difficult truths. Featuring digital photography, video installation, a short film, and behind the scenes imagery, this exhibit is unlike any work I’ve presented before. This body of work and the showing of it was a committment, spanning two years from inception to completion.
By transforming the practice of rope bondage into a bridge for healing, using my body as canvas and vehicle, I created a pathway to shift my inner world toward peace, albeit by unconventional means.
Disorganized is my heroes journey. It is my proof of concept that integration is possible, that the unconventional path to wholeness is one anyone can follow, and that our darkest impulses and experiences can be directed toward our highest good.
